Entry Clearance - Spouse Visa

To qualify for a UK Spouse Visa, you and your partner must demonstrate that you are in a genuine and subsisting relationship, have met in person, and intend to live together permanently in the UK. Additionally, you must meet specific financial requirements, including a minimum income threshold, and provide adequate accommodation in the UK. Our experienced lawyers will guide you through these requirements, helping you gather the necessary documentation and evidence to support your application.

ABOUT THIS SERVICE

Our dedicated team of immigration experts is committed to helping you navigate the complex process of securing a Spouse Visa.

Qualifying for a UK Spouse Visa involves meeting specific requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration. At Victorimax Legal, we are here to guide you through each step of this complex process with expertise and personalised support.

To qualify, you must prove that your partner is either a British or Irish citizen, is settled in the UK, holds pre-settled status, has a Turkish Businessperson or Worker visa, or has been granted refugee status or humanitarian protection. To be eligible both you and your partner must be over the age of 18 and not within a prohibited degree of relationship.

Additionally, you and your partner must have met in person and be legally married in a marriage recognised in the UK. Your relationship needs to be genuine and ongoing, with a clear intention to live together permanently in the UK. It's also crucial to show that any previous relationships, if any, have ended permanently. You must satisfy the financial requirement, ensure there is adequate accommodation for you and any dependents, and demonstrate that you speak and understand English to the required level.

Putting Ring on Hand

The exact requirements you will need to satisfy in order to qualify for a UK Spouse Visa may vary depending on your personal circumstances.  You may want to speak to an immigration lawyer for expert advice.

Once granted, a UK Spouse Visa allows you to live and work in the UK for an initial period of 30 months, after which you can apply for an extension. After five years of continuous residence in the UK on a Spouse Visa, you may be eligible to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) and, eventually, British citizenship. At Victorimax Legal, we are here to support you throughout your entire immigration journey, from your initial visa application to achieving permanent residency and citizenship. Let us help you reunite with your spouse and build your life together in the UK.
